RNHA of Illinois Vice-President Appointed Co-Chair of IL GOP

(CHICAGO) – Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady announced on Saturday the appointment of Gabriela Wyatt to the post of Co-Chair of the Illinois Republican State Central Committee. Wyatt immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico and is currently a Senior Engineer with Motorola.

“I am excited about the opportunity to have Gabriela’s experience, perspective and wisdom on our team,” said Brady. “She will be an invaluable asset as we continue to broaden the party base and recruit new candidates to serve in public office.”

Wyatt is currently Vice President of the Illinois Republican National Hispanic Assembly (ILRNHA) and chair of the Kane County Chapter of the ILRNHA. She is also a Republican Precinct Committeeman in Kane County and the Kane County Republican Central Committee Chairwoman.

“I am honored to serve alongside Chairman Brady and to help reach out to the growing number of Hispanics in Illinois,” said Wyatt. “The Republican Party is the party of growth and opportunity for all people, especially minority voters, looking to make Illinois a better place to live, work and raise a family.”

Brady said his appointment of Wyatt builds on the successes of the November elections, when Illinois Republicans won back President Obama’s Senate seat and captured a majority of the state’s Congressional seats. “The Democrats know they can’t take anything for granted any longer, especially the notion that minority voters will cast a Democratic ballot no matter what.”

Wyatt begins her new term immediately. Brady was elected to a four-year term as chairman in March.
