Gloria Campos Elected Jackson County GOP Chairman

The Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Illinois would like to congratulate Gloria Campos on her new position as the Jackson County GOP Chairman. Gloria was unanimously elected last week, April 18, 2012, at the Jackson County GOP Convention.

Gloria Campos has been a conservative leader for the Latino community and women across the state and nationwide, building networks, coalitions, and grassroots organizations that demonstrate the powerful impact of political activism at every level.

Gloria served two terms as Chairman of the Illinois RNHA, transforming the Illinois Chapter into one of the largest RNHA Chapters in the country. She currently holds a national leadership position with the Latino National Republican Coalition, the largest network of conservative Latinos in the country.

Gloria’s new role in Jackson County is unprecedented, being the first woman to hold the position of Jackson County GOP Chairman and being the first Latina in Illinois GOP history to be an elected County Chairman. It’s a significant accomplishment, and we are proud that Southern Illinois is leading the way with this strong show of inclusion and their belief in Hispanic participation and leadership, as it will continue to grow within the Republican Party. Gloria’s tireless commitment and experience with local and national campaigns and organizations is a win-win for Jackson County and nationally, to attracting more votes towards Republican candidates and mandates.
